Melissa Leo, born September 14, 1960 in New York City, New York, USA, is an actor. She stars as Antoinette Bernette in first, second, third and fourth seasons. She also starred in Homicide: Life on the Street as Detective Sergeant Kay Howard from 1993 to 1997. Homicide was based on a book by Treme creator David Simon. Leo has also appeared in the films 21 Grams (2003), Frozen River (2008), The Fighter (2010), Prisoners (2013), Oblivion (2013) and Snowden (2016).
