Jeffrey John Carisalez is an actor. He plays Arnie in Treme. Arnie is the cousin of Nelson Hidalgo and comes to New Orleans from Texas for work. He is a recurring guest star in the first, second and fourth seasons. He also worked with Treme co-creator David Simon on the earlier miniseries Generation Kill (2008). He had a recurring role as Corporal Smith. Carisalez served as a recon marine corporal prior to taking up acting and was also a technical advisor for Generation Kill. He has also played a marine in the film Green Zone (2010).
