George Pelecanos, born February 18, 1957 in Washington, D.C., United States, is an author and motion picture writer and producer. He is a writer and Consulting Producer for Treme. He joined the crew as a writer for the first season in 2010 and wrote for the fourth episode "At the Foot of Canal Street" and the ninth episode "Wish Someone Would Care". He became a Consulting Producer for two episodes of the second season in 2012. He worked on the sixth episode "Feels Like Rain" and the ninth episode "What Is New Orleans?". He also wrote for "What Is New Orleans?". He has also worked on Treme creator David Simon on his earlier series The Wire.
